THE FOOD

Fresh & Local Ingredients

Kowaliga Restaurant serves a southern comfort menu of seasonal ingredients from the local region. Our catfish is shipped straight from Alabama and Mississippi farms, and our weekly seafood specials are built around Gulf coast shrimp and seafood. We work with local farmers to provide our customers the best seasonal and fresh produce.

Wednesdays
Squealers will be a blue plate special, with hush puppies and choice of side. $14
Dozen oysters on the half shell. From the Gulf as much as possible! $16/dz.

Thursdays
Wing Night! Wings are smoked and .75/pc. Sauces are: mild, hot, BBQ, jalapeño, sweet chili, hoisin, Banjo’s 6 pepper and Hotter than Hot.

    Try our famous catfish taco, named the tastiest taco in Alabama by the Food Network. Our taco is topped with chipotle tartar sauce, homemade slaw, roasted jalapeño and cilantro.

    For a true Southern snack, try the hickory-smoked Conecuh sausage, which comes with pimento cheese, Wickles Pickes, saltine crackers and grain mustard.

    For a savory treat, enjoy the preserve burger, made with cheddar cheese, candied jalapenos, pickled red onion, tomato relish and spinach.
